After scoring a crucial away goal in a 1-1 draw in Colombia, the U.S. U-23 side has just 90 minutes to play in Frisco, Texas before possibly heading to the 2016 Olympics.

Luis Gil’s early goal has given the U.S. the advantage heading back to home turf, but the tie is far from over against a talented Colombian side.

For the U.S. to move on to Rio, the backline must stay strong and keep Colombia from getting on the scoresheet. The partnership of Vancouver Whitecaps’ Tim Parker and Chelsea’s Matt Miazga was excellent in the first leg, and they’ll likely be the key men in the second leg as well.

While the U.S. could settle for a scoreless draw, Colombia must find a goal, meaning they will be forced push numbers forward. If the likes of Emerson Hyndman and Jerome Kiesewetter could have space on the counter to punish the visitors.

The senior team has struggled recently, but a trip to the Olympics for this young team would bring back some pride to U.S. soccer.
