Speaking to the media ahead of Tottenham’s clash with Watford on Saturday (Watch live, 10 a.m. ET on NBCSN and online via Live Extra) where a win could see them go just two points off the top, Pochettino had plenty of praise for a fellow Argentine, and two Englishmen.
With Spurs fighting for the Premier League title with Leicester City, Manchester City and Arsenal, Pochettino believes three of the four possess strikers who are on very similar level.
Quite the statement from Pochettino, but he has a very good point.

We know Aguero has done it year in, year out for big clubs his entire career and if injuries had been kinder to the 27-year-old he would’ve broken even more records. That said, this season the numbers between this trio are very similar.
Vardy leads the Premier League in goals with 18, Kane is in second with 15 and Aguero has 13 goals. In all competition Vardy has 18, Kane has 18 and Aguero has 17. In terms of output they’re all right here but all three have come from very different places.
Aguero has been a superstar since he was a teenager, Kane has worked his way up through Spurs’ academy via multiple loan moves and Vardy has taken the long and winding road from non-league as he enjoys a breakout campaign in just his second PL season at the age of 29.
They’ve all done it different ways and although Aguero’s quality and caliber on the international stage and in European competitions suggests he’s far superior to Kane and Vardy, is that really the case right here, right now?
