After Arjen Robben’s close-range effort was saved by the Lippstadt goalkeeper, Green was perfectly positioned on the doorstep to tap home the rebound and give Bayern the advantage.
The 21-year-old continued his impressive outing just minutes into the second half when the winger played in a dangerous cross from the right flank, forcing an own goal out of the lunging Lippstadt defender.
Green nearly created another goal in the 79th minute, delivering a superb free kick into the penalty area, but after a scrum the ball landed in the goalkeeper’s arms. The U.S. midfielder then exited the match just minutes later.
