Josmer Volmy “Jozy” Altidore has given Toronto FC, who are already headed to their first MLS Cup Playoffs, a 1-0 lead over the Montreal Impact (below video).

Altidore’s goal, which came just before the halftime intermission, pushes the Reds (for the time being) all the way up to third in the log-jammed Eastern Conference table.

Sebastian Giovinco was the creator (shocker, right?), as the little Italian wriggled free down the left flank, chipped a delicate ball to the top of the six-yard box, where Altidore was busy losing his marker, MLS Defender of the Year candidate Laurent Ciman, before heading the ball back across goal to beat Evan Bush.
