For Tottenham, with Danny Rose still injured, Mauricio Pochettino has rotated Ben Davies out after two straight starts and slotting Jan Vertonghen over to the right, moving Eric Dier back into the defensive line and utilizing Victor Wanyama in front as cover.
Sunderland comes in to White Hart Lane with Didier Ndong in the starting lineup for the first time since moving from Lorient for a club record fee. Patrick van Anholt was withdrawn from the starting lineup just minutes before kickoff, with Jason Denayer replacing him and Donald Love moving to the bench.
