South Carolina freshman DT Tyreek Johnson will miss the season after tearing his ACL.
Johnson’s young career has been defined by injuries. He was set to be part of USC’s 2017 recruiting class, but a shoulder injury prompted a grayshirt, delaying his enrollment. If there’s good news, it’s that Johnson will still have four years of eligibility remaining beginning in 2019. “He’s going to be a really good player for us,” Muschamp said. “He had a fantastic spring, but this is just a speedbump for him.”
