Armel Traoré has agreed to a two-year deal with French club ASVEL.
After playing multiple professional seasons in France, Traoré agreed to a two-way deal with the Lakers last June. He only appeared in nine games last season, averaging 1.6 points and 1.7 rebounds in 7.4 minutes. Traoré stands to take on a more prominent role with ASVEL than he would have enjoyed with any NBA team in 2025-26.

Armel Traore has agreed to a two-way deal with the Lakers, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
The 6'8" forward has been playing professionally in France for the last few seasons, and he averaged 10.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.6 steals in 25.5 minutes per game for ADA Blois Basket last year. The 21-year-old has a 7'3" wingspan and was able to make plays in transition often last season. He should be able to adjust the NBA quicker than other prospects due to his professional experience, but fantasy managers shouldn’t be looking at him as anything more than a stash in dynasty. He will likely spend most of the season in the G-League.
