Stephen Curry O/U 25.5 Points vs. Knicks
Stephen Curry is chasing history and we all know it.
While he fell two made three-pointers short of the NBA record in his previous outing versus the Pacers, everyone expects two made at Madison Square Garden to pass Ray Allen.
I hope he doesn’t because I have tickets to Celtics versus Warriors and it would be poetic for him to break Allen’s all-time record in Boston, but I am not that lucky.
Everyone loves to showout at MSG and Curry is no exception. Last season, Curry scored 30 and 37 points versus the Knicks (37 at MSG).
Over his career, Curry scored 21 or more points in eight of nine trips to MSG and 25-plus points six times, per statmuse.
NBC’s player prop model projects Curry to record 25.8 points, so right on the number. Over Curry’s last seven games at either Golden State or New York, but versus the Knicks, Curry is 5-2 to the Over and scored 29-plus points in the Overs.
Curry scored 26 or more points in 12-of-26 games (46%) this season and is 10-8 (56%) to the Over at 34-plus minutes per NBC’s Player Prop model.
That is our target number for Curry’s minutes (34). He played at least 30 minutes in every trip to MSG since 2010.
I think Curry has another chance at a 30-point outing and a classic performance as he breaks the three-point record at MSG. Back Curry Over 25.5 points to Over 26.5 for 1 unit.
The Knicks also have a COVID outbreak of their own, so Curry could be facing Derrick Rose, Evan Fournier, Immanuel Quickley and possibly Alec Burks (probable). Those are favorable matchups for Curry.
Pick: Stephen Curry Over 25.5 Points (1u)
