Astros acquired LHP Blair Walters, RHP Matt Heidenreich, and a player to be named later from the White Sox for Brett Myers and cash considerations.
Walters, 22, is a mid-level prospect with a low 90s fastball and above average slider. Baseball America ranked him as the White Sox’s No. 26 overall prospect prior to the 2012 season.
