Carsen Edwards is in advanced talks with Fenerbache Beko, who are based in Istanbul.
Edwards’ right were renounced a few weeks ago by the Pistons. Edwards finished last season with Detroit after being signed late in the season to help their lottery odds. Edwards wasn’t going to be fantasy relevant this season, so perhaps a move to Europe would be solid for his career.

  • NBA Point Guard #20
Carsen Edwards made his debut for the Pistons Sunday and finished with 13 points (5-of-15 FGs), nine assists, three rebounds, two steals, two triples, and one turnover in 31 minutes off the bench.
Edwards signed a two-year deal with the Pistons earlier in the day and made a difference in his debut. It’s unlikely that he ever sees this many minutes next season considering how many point guards the Pistons have on their roster, but he should see plenty of opportunity for the rest of this season. He’ll never shoot a high percentage, but he can fill it up from deep. The playmaking was new. His career-high before this game was three assists, so hopefully we can expect more dimes from him moving forward.

Carsen Edwards will be available to play in Sunday’s game against the Pacers.
Edwards, who was scoring at a high rate in the G League, signed his contract with the Pistons Sunday morning. With Cade Cunningham and Cory Joseph both having been ruled out, it’s possible that Edwards will get some run. Killian Hayes will take priority here, however, so fantasy managers should not expect much from the newest Pistons.

Carsen Edwards has signed a two-year contract with the Pistons on Sunday, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Edwards has been balling out in the G-League this season, averaging 26.7 points for Salt Lake City this season. With the Pistons already crowded at point guard, it’s wild to think that they felt they needed another. We’ll see what kind of role Edwards can get, but it doesn’t seem to be one that is fantasy friendly.

  • FA Shooting Guard #30
The Memphis Grizzlies have resigned Sean McDermott on Thursday.
The Grizzlies’ 2021 training camp roster was put out, and McDermott made the cut for the time being. He was lucky as Daniel Oturu and Carsen Edwards were waived, but the chances of McDermott being a regular rotation player (or fantasy asset) are slim to none.

The Memphis Grizzlies have waived Carsen Edwards on Thursday.
Edwards was part of the deal that sent Juancho Hernangomez to the Celtics, so he’ll look to find a new home. There’s a good chance he’ll get some time in the G-League this year.

Boston has agreed to send Carsen Edwards, along with Kris Dunn and a 2026 second-round pick swap, to Memphis in exchange for Juan Hernangomez, reports ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Edwards appeared in 31 games for the Celtics last season, averaging 4.0 points, 0.5 assists and 0.8 rebounds in 8.9 minutes per contest. It’s quite possible Edwards could be traded again before the start of the 2021-22 season, as Memphis now has 18 players on guaranteed contracts and will need to get down to 15 by opening night.

  • BOS Guard #11
Payton Pritchard was held to six points on 3-of-9 shooting (0-of-6 3-pointers) with eight assists, six rebounds, one steal, and six turnovers as the Celtics were run out of the gym 100-67 at the hands of the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday.
Pritchard had been one of the most efficient players in all of Summer League heading into Thursday’s championship game. He was one of just two players to average at least 20 points per game while shooting at least 50% from the floor and the three-point line. On Tuesday though, Pritchard ran into Davion Mitchell and a feisty Kings defense that took him and his Celtics teammates out of everything that they wanted to do. Pritchard’s backcourt mate Carsen Edwards did not have as rough a night, but his splits were still ugly as he scored 15 points on 5-of-16 shooting (2-of-9 3-pointers with five rebounds, and three assists. Aaron Nesmith scored 12 points on 4-of-10 shooting (2-of-8 3-pointers) with six rebounds and six turnovers.

  • IND Guard-Forward #23
Aaron Nesmith scored 33 points on 13-of-18 shooting (7-of-9 3-pointers) with seven rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 20 minutes as the Celtics blew out the Nuggets 107-82 in summer league action on Tuesday evening.
Nesmith was extremely efficient on Tuesday evening and had the jump shot on full display all night long. Boston’s trio of Nesmith, Payton Pritchard, and Carsen Edwards all saw minutes for the Celtics last season and their experience and superior skillset was too much for the Nuggets in this one. Pritchard finished with 21 points on 6-of-10 shooting (4-of-5 3-pointers) with 12 assists, eight rebounds, and one steal as he almost came away with a triple-double. Edwards finished with 14 points on 5-of-16 shooting (3-of-8 3-pointers) with eight rebounds, five assists, and two steals in 26 minutes. The Celtics should be pleased with how their experienced trio of young guards looked on Tuesday as they will look to bounce back from a rather disappointing season in 2020-2021.

  • CHA Coaching Staff #34
Kemba Walker will be rested for Wednesday’s game vs. the Cavaliers.
This is the second half of a back-to-back set and the Celtics aren’t budging from their plan to prevent Kemba’s left knee from flaring up again. Presumably he’ll be ready to play on consecutive days once the playoffs begin, but for now it’s more of the same scheduled rest. Payton Pritchard and Carsen Edwards should gain the most, while Evan Fournier and Aaron Nesmith will also be extra busy in the absence of Kemba, Marcus Smart (calf) and Jaylen Brown (wrist).
