    Bucs waived LS Christian Yount.
There were no noticeable snapping issues in Week 1, but Yount apparently did something to lose the job. The undrafted rookie will give way to another long snapper in Tampa as soon as today. Perhaps they just want a veteran.
  • FA Linebacker
    Browns signed LS Christian Yount.
Yount snapped for the Bucs early this season while Andrew Economos rehabbed an Achilles injury. He’ll take over for a slumping Ryan Pontbriand, who was waived earlier in the day.
  • FA Linebacker
Bucs re-signed LS Christian Yount and waived LS Scott Albritton.
Both are undrafted rookies. Yount didn’t make any noticeable mistakes as the Bucs’ long snapper in Week 1, but the Bucs wanted to roll with Albritton anyway. Albritton must have stunk it up in practice this week.

    Bucs waived LS Christian Yount.
The inference is that long-time LS Andrew Economos (Achilles) will ready to come off the PUP list after the Week 8 bye.
  • FA Linebacker
Browns will release LS Christian Yount.
The Browns signed Yount to a five-year, $4.21 million contract in August of 2013. They obviously saw enough of him to begin pursuing cheaper options.
  • FA Linebacker
Browns signed LS Christian Yount to a four-year contract extension through 2017.
It’s a new day in Cleveland. A 2011 undrafted free agent, Yount started all 16 games a season ago.

Bucs placed LS Andrew Economos (Achilles’) on the reserve/PUP list.
Economos tore the Achilles’ about six months ago, so there’s an outside chance that he could be back for Week 7. We suspect a long snapper would have a better shot at a quick return from this kind of injury. The Bucs are forced to roll with undrafted rookie Christian Yount as their Week 1 snapper.
