    247Sports.com has named USC receivers Jordan Addison and Mario Williams as the second-best WR duo in the nation.
    Addison (6'0/175) transferred to USC in mid-May after an impressive 2021 campaign. Last season with the Pitt Panthers, Addison totaled 100 receptions for 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns while averaging a solid 15.9 YPR. Now linked up with head coach Lincoln Riley and quarterback Caleb Williams, Addison will look to add one more season of solid production before declaring for the 2023 NFL Draft. For Mario Williams, the former four-star recruit from the 2021 class will need to take another stop forward in 2022 after going for 35-380-4 as a true freshman. Addison and Williams received top duo honors over a handful of established tandems, but could live up to the hype in what is likely their only season together.

    USC sophomore WR Mario Williams has been been money on intermediate routes.
    Williams (5'9/186) is unparalleled when it comes to running intermediate routes at the Big 12 level. According to Pro Football Focus, Williams’ 141.0 passer rating generated when targeted on intermediate routes in 2021 was the highest in the conference. Williams has indicated that he expects to play baseball in 2023, so it will be interesting to see what his future on the gridiron as a whole looks like.

    USC sophomore WR Mario Williams plans to play baseball next spring.
    Williams (5'9/186) claims his love for the diamond is equal to his love of the gridiron and will pursue that passion next spring. When asked about his two-sport aspirations, he said “Next year, I’ll play (baseball), “I couldn’t play this year. With baseball, you can’t transfer and play instantly, so I had to wait until next year. I play outfield (center).” Williams indicated he was a top of the order hitter who was a stolen base threat due to his elite speed. He cited baseball’s longevity as being appealing to him and that the game is so heavily driven by technique. Regardless of what he does next year Williams was a standout performer this spring for the Trojans, catching two touchdown passes from fellow Oklahoma transfer, Caleb Williams.

    USC sophomore WR Mario Williams has been dubbed as the sixth best receiver to return to college football in 2022.
    Williams (5'9/186) making PFF.com’s list of top 10 returning wide receivers for the 2022 season is a bit of a surprise considering the part time role he served with the Sooners in 2021. Last season at Oklahoma, Williams caught 35 passes for 380 yards and four touchdowns on 46 targets. Per PFF.com, Williams is also one of just five Power Five receivers to see at least 40 targets in 2021 and not record a drive. Williams has a chance to shine in year two under head coach Lincoln Riley and the team he is putting together at USC.

    Williams (5'9/186) finished the season fourth amongst Sooner receivers with 380 yards. He’s just another former Sooner that followed former coach Lincoln Riley to the west coast. Williams was a four-star prospect from the 2021 recruiting class, and the no. 4 ranked receiver in the class according to 247Sports’ so he has the ability to excel with a larger role.

    Oklahoma freshman WR Mario Williams announced that he is entering the transfer portal.
    Williams (5'9/186) saw limited action as a freshman, appearing on just 317 offensive snaps on the year according to Pro Football Focus, with his season-high in targets (8) coming in Week 1 against Tulane, when he caught six passes for 37 yards and one touchdown. Williams appeared to be on a quick ascent with Oklahoma after scoring in back-to-back weeks to start his career, but he wouldn’t go for more than 49 yards in any game until Week 9, when he caught five passes for 100 yards and one touchdown against Texas Tech. Williams was a four-star prospect from the 2021 recruiting class, and the no. 4 ranked receiver in the class according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. The Plant City, Florida native drew offers from several Power Five programs, including Alabama, Arkansas, Clemson, Auburn, Georgia and Miami.

    Oklahoma freshman WR Mario Williams caught five passes for 100 yards and one touchdown in Saturday’s 52-21 win over Texas Tech.
    Williams (5'9/181) had missed the last two games with an injury, but warmed up ahead of Saturday’s matchup against Texas Tech and returned for a big day. Williams’ lone score came on a 22-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Caleb Williams to start the day, which immediately gave the Sooners a 7-0 lead over Texas Tech. His five receptions on the day led all Sooners, while his 100 yards was second behind wide receiver Marvin Mims (4/135/2). Williams and the Sooners will face Baylor on the road on Saturday November 13th.

    Oklahoma freshman Mario Williams (undisclosed) is taking part in warmups ahead of Saturday’s game against Texas Tech.
    Williams (5'9/186) was injured during the Sooners’ win over TCU a couple weeks back, and he appears set to make his return to game action. This is big news for Oklahoma, which will be without the injured Mike Woods. Williams has caught 24 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns this season.

    Oklahoma freshman WR Mario Williams (undisclosed) has a chance to return to the field against Texas Tech this Saturday.
    Williams (5'9/181) has caught at least three passes in each of his first six games before going down with an injury after catching one pass for 11 yards against TCU in Week 7. The five-star freshman has caught 24-of-29 passes for an 83 percent catch rate, 219 yards and two touchdowns so far in 2021, earning a strong 78.5 receiving grade according to PFF College. With Caleb Williams now at the helm of a rejuvenated OU offense, Williams is in position to have a strong finish to the season if he can come back healthy from his injury.
