After beginning his collegiate career in the Big Ten West, Kyle Penniston will continue it in that conference’s other division.
The 6-4, 243-pound tight end used his personal Twitter account to reveal Tuesday evening that he has decided to use his final season of eligibility at Rutgers. Penniston had decided to transfer from Wisconsin earlier this offseason.
As he’s already graduated from UW, he’ll be eligible immediately at RU despite it being an intra-conference move.

The past two seasons, Penniston started 18 of the 27 games in which he played. All told, he played in 39 career games with the Badgers, with 21 of those appearances being starting assignments.
Playing in the run-heavy UW offense, Penniston totaled 176 yards and four touchdowns on 16 receptions during his time in Madison.
