Regardless of how it’s prefaced and/or couched, UNT defensive back John Schilleci (pictured, No. 19) was arrested over the weekend and charged with evading arrest, Brett Vito of the Denton Record-Chronicle reported. No details of what led to the predicament have been released.
What is known is that Schilleci has been suspended for UNT’s game Thursday against Louisiana Tech.
Schilleci, a sophomore, has played in 14 games in his brief career, including the season-opening blowout of SMU. On the most recent depth chart, Schilleci was listed as the No. 2 strong safety.
