A day after the Big 12 finally released its conference schedule, Oklahoma has announced it has finalized its non-conference slate for the 2012 season.
Suffice to say that it won’t help out Florida State a whole lot with their non-conference predicament.
OU announced non-conference games at UTEP (Sept. 1), and against 1-AA opponent Florida A&M (Sept. 8) and Notre Dame (Oct. 27). The Sooners previously had a spot open on Sept. 8, the same date as Florida State’s game against WVU before the Mountaineers backed out of the game in anticipation of a move to the Big 12. The Orlando Sentinel reported that OU was one of a few teams FSU reached out to about filling that open date.
OU and Florida State have met the past two seasons in a home-and-home, with the Sooners winning both times.
As of today, FSU still hasn’t announced a replacement for that Sept. 8 slot.
