Injured Sooner to enter 2010 NFL draft

And, no we aren’t talking about Sam Bradford. Yet.

Instead, it’s his teammate, tight end Jermaine Gresham, who will be leaving for the money green pastures of the National Football League, Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops announced this afternoon.

Jermaine’s going to go into the draft,” Stoops said at his press conference.

Gresham, a preseason All-American, underwent season-ending surgery on his knee earlier this month. The fourth-year senior has a medical redshirt available to him, but has -- at least for now -- decided to not utilize it.

The TE was a sure-fire first-round pick in the 2009 draft had he decided to leave school early this past winter, but he opted instead to return to OU for his senior season.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, the answer is no, Stoops still has no answer as to whether or not Bradford will be able to play this weekend against Miami (Fla.).
