Injured starting Gator linemen expected to play vs. Vols

When Florida opens up SEC play this coming weekend, the Gators will likely have three of their injured starting offensive linemen at their disposal.

On UF’s most recent depth chart released Monday, Jon Halapio (pictured) D.J. Humphries and Tyler Moore are listed as the starters at right guard, left tackle and right tackle, respectively. Thus, barring a setback during practice this week, both should be on the field for the Tennessee game in Gainesville Saturday.

Halapio has not played at all this season after tearing a pectoral muscle during summer camp. The past two seasons, Halapio started all 26 games at right guard. For his career, he’s started 33 of the 41 games in which he’s played.

Humphries started three of the 12 games he played in as a true freshman last season, A five-star member of UF’s 2012 recruiting class, the lineman started the first two games of this season as well, but sprained an MCL in the Week 2 loss to Miami.

Moore suffered a sprained ankle in the Miami game as well. He came to the Gators from Nebraska by way of the JUCO level.
