You never know what direction Oregon is going to go with their uniforms. Fortunately, they will have a uniform with the Oregon trail printed on it this week just in case they get lost.
Yes, that is right. Oregon’s uniforms this week will have a topographical map of the state of Oregon with the Oregon trail etched into the fabric of the football jersey to be worn this week against Washington State. Each player’s uniform will be unique as well with each uniform comprising of a different area of the map, thus defying the definition of the word “uniform.” The helmet will feature a silhouette of historic explorers Meriwether Lewis and William Clark, along with the Oregon Duck, of course.

“We have many discussions with the Oregon athletes, equipment staff and coaches,” says Todd Van Horne, Creative Director for Nike Football. “For this inspiring new uniform, we want to celebrate the state and its great founders and innovators.”
Oregon sure did that with this uniform. You can read more about the details of the uniform, from head to toe and top to bottom, on Nike’s release.
