Oklahoma CB Zack Sanchez declares for NFL Draft

Thursday’s Orange Bowl loss to Clemson will be Zack Sanchez‘s swan song at Oklahoma.

The junior announced on his Twitter account Friday morning his intention to enter this spring’s NFL Draft.

A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Sanchez took a redshirt upon arriving in Norman and then started all three years of active duty. He missed two games this fall but started all 37 of his career appearances, totaling 15 career interceptions, including one off Deshaun Watson just before halftime in yesterday’s Orange Bowl to preserve a 17-16 OU lead.

Sanchez was a consensus First Team All-Big 12 honoree in 2014 and earned a spot on the FWAA Freshman All-America team in 2013.
