Oregon State’s Masaniai released from jail after baby momma incident

Just two days after being arrested and booked in a Benton County jail for multiple charges, including second-degree kidnapping, coercion, disorderly conduct, harassment and second-degree criminal mischief, Beavers defensive lineman Castro Masaniai has been released from said jail due to overcrowding.

Masaniai was originally set on $75,000 bail.

According to a police report via the Corvalis Gazette-Times, Masaniai was involved in an altercation with the mother of his child on Saturday. Masaniai reportedly grabbed his girlfriend by the arm and dragged her through a McDonalds (stay classy) after a fight broke out on the way to the restaurant.

Masaniai has been suspended from the team indefinitely, and after being released from jail, a judge told Masaniai to refrain from any immediate contact with his girlfriend.

He is set to reappear in court on May 26th.
