President Trump enjoys raucous welcome at LSU-Alabama

I think it’s safe to state that the POTUS is (still) extremely popular in the Yellowhammer State.

As you may have heard, No. 2 LSU traveled to Tuscaloosa Saturday afternoon to face No. 3 Alabama in the latest playing of the Game of the Century. As you may also have heard — and how could you haven’t given the polarizing noise surrounding the run-up to it — President Donald Trump will be in attendance for a matchup dripping with SEC and College Football Playoff implications.

Ahead of the game, several prop bets related to the President’s trip to Bryant-Denny Stadium were available for your wagering pleasure. One of those was “Will President Trump be booed if shown on video boards?”

“Yes” came in at 2/3 (bet $100, win $67), “no” came in at 11/10 (bet $100, win $110). If you went with the latter, and even as it was a slightly different scene outside of the stadium, collect your winnings -- based on this extended video, at least.

From ESPN.com:

Trump, sitting one tier above the field, waved as fans turned around to look up at the president. He smiled, gave a thumbs-up a few times and threw a couple of fist bumps into the air as the Alabama fans waved red and white pompoms in response. First lady Melania Trump got an equally enthusiastic welcome.

For those unaware, the POTUS was about all the home faithful had to cheers as LSU has jumped out to a 33-13 lead after two quarters, the largest halftime deficit Alabama has faced since Nick Saban took over in 2007.
