Indiana head coach Kevin Wilson has offered the Hoosiers’ defensive coordinator position to Air Force assistant Brian Knorr, according to a report on Sunday from CoachingSearch.com.
No word yet on whether Knorr has taken the job.
Knorr just recently re-joined the Air Force staff after serving as defensive coordinator at Wake Forest for the past two seasons. A graduate of the Air Force Academy, Knorr was the defensive coordinator there from 2005-2007. He also was the head coach at Ohio in the early 2000s.
Indiana finished 123rd out of 125 teams in total defense this past season, so having an experienced hand like Knorr on board should help shore up things on that side of the ball for the Hoosiers. The Demon Deacons finished a respectable 31st in total defense in 2013.
