Report: Two Louisville football players shot early Sunday morning

A shooting in the early morning hours on Sunday near the campus of the University of Louisville reportedly injuring three people included two potential football players. According to a report from WHAS, the two players linked to the shooting incident are linebacker James Hearns and Henry Famurewa. The third victim is also a Louisville student.

According to the report, one man and one woman were taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance to be treated for gunshot wounds. Soon after that, a third gunshot victim arrived at Jewish Hospital. It is believed all three are connected to the same incident, although the details surrounding the incident are largely unknown at this time. All three injuries were considered non-life threatening in nature.

Louisville officials have been traveling due to Lamar Jackson and his Heisman Trophy run, so no comment has been made from the athletics department about this particular situation at this time.
