Robert Foster reportedly avoids serious injury in Tide scrimmage

It appears Alabama may have dodged what would’ve been a rather significant bullet.

During a scrimmage Saturday, Robert Foster sustained an injury to one of his knees. While the school has yet to address the exact nature and severity of the issue, multiple sources told al.com that the injury is “minor” in nature and is “not serious.”

Foster, a four-star member of the Tide’s 2013 recruiting class, caught six passes for 44 yards as a redshirt freshman.

The Tide is looking to replace its top three pass catchers at the wide receiver position, and Foster is in line to make a significant contribution this coming season. In fact, Foster is projected to be a starter as he’s worked with the first-team offense throughout the offseason.
