Washington announced its new coaching staff under Chris Petersen on Monday and it was notable for who was not on it.
That would be defensive line coach Tosh Lupoi, currently the subject of an investigation into his recruiting tactics.
Lupoi has “been reassigned to other duties within the athletic department” according to the school’s press release.
Given the seriousness of the reports about Lupoi -- allegations of money changing hands, for instance -- it seems doubtful that he’ll be working as a coach anytime soon. Or at least until he is cleared of any wrongdoing.
Until then, he’s radioactive.
