Washington RB Bishop Sankey projected as third round pick, will make decision after bowl

The Seattle Times is reporting that Washington running back Bishop Sankey got his NFL evaluation back and the league projects him to be as a potential third round pick in next spring’s draft. The junior will make his decision on whether to skip his senior season sometime after Friday’s Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl against Brigham Young.

Sankey rushed for 1,775 yards this season to set the Washington single-season rushing record. He was third nationally in rushing.

“It’s pretty much what I expected,” Sankey noted of the third-round grade, which he said he learned about last week. “I’m going to talk to coach (Chris) Petersen and to my family after the bowl game and make a decision.”

Husky tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins was given a second round grade, according to the Seattle Times report.
