    Texans signed DE Daeshon Hall.
Hall was plucked off the 49ers’ practice squad. The No. 77 overall pick of the 2017 draft, Hall is already close to washing out of the league.
  • Panthers traded up with the Cardinals to select Texas A&M DE Daeshon Hall with the No. 77 overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
The Panthers sent Arizona picks No. 98 and 115 to move up. Hall (6’5/266) bookended Myles Garrett on a ferocious Aggies defensive line, tallying 36.5 career tackles for loss, 16 sacks, and four forced fumbles as a two-plus-year starter. While not as explosive as Garrett, Hall possesses incredibly long arms (35 5/8") and is a plus athlete, running 4.76 at the Combine with running back-like vertical (36") and broad (10’3") jumps. Hall lacked standout sack production at TAMU, but he has experience at 4-3 end, 3-4 end, and 3-4 outside linebacker and is an intriguing traits-based prospect whose motor popped on tape.
  • Panthers sophomore DE Daeshon Hall (knee) said he is back to full health.
A third-round pick last year, Hall was limited to just nine snaps as a rookie before landing on injured reserve with a knee issue. “My knee feels real good right now. Everything feels stable, strong,” Hall said. “I’m excited. No limitations. I’m squatting, doing everything lower body.” The Panthers need some help at defensive end, and Hall has the talent to be a factor now that he is healthy.
  • Panthers waived DE Daeshon Hall.
The No. 77 overall pick of the 2017 draft, Hall played just nine snaps before a knee injury landed him on injured reserve. Either he’s not healthy or couldn’t get back to his pre-injury form. Hall is still only 23. He will hunt for practice squad work.
  • Panthers placed DE Daeshon Hall (knee) on injured reserve.
A third-round pick, Hall hasn’t been active since Week 1. He played nine snaps in his only appearance. Hall’s 2017 will go down as a lost season. The Panthers promoted S Dezmen Southward from the practice squad in a corresponding move.
