Erick Fedde pitched decently in a losing effort against the Tigers on Friday night, allowing two runs on four hits over his 4 2/3 innings of work.
Fedde struck out four batters on the night while allowing one base on balls. The 33-year-old hurler took over with a 2-1 deficit in the second inning after Brandon Eisert got the first four outs as an opener. He then kept the Tigers off the board until a two-out, two-run double by Kerry Carpenter in the sixth inning. Fedde got 10 whiffs on 78 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 26 percent. He’ll carry a 4.46 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and a 48/27 K/BB ratio (70 2/3 innings) into Wednesday’s matchup against the Guardians.
