Jeremy Peña (hamstring) is not in the Astros’ starting lineup for Sunday’s series finale against the Orioles.

The good news is that Peña feels much improved after exiting Saturday’s game with a right hamstring cramp and isn’t expected to require a trip to the injured list. Nick Allen will start in his place at shortstop and will bat ninth for the Astros against Brandon Young and the Orioles on Sunday afternoon in Houston.

Astros recalled INF Raynel Delgado from Triple-A Sugar Land.

Delgado joins the Astros on Sunday to add some infield depth with both Christian Walker and Jeremy Pena banged up. He’s unlikely to see enough action to gain any sort of relevance from a fantasy perspective. Nate Pearson was designated for assignment in a corresponding move to clear a spot on the Astros’ active roster.

Astros designated RHP Nate Pearson for assignment.

The 29-year-old right-hander pitched decently in 16 appearances for the Astros this season, posting a 3.60 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and a 16/12 K/BB ratio over 20 innings. He flashed enough during that stretch that he could generate some interest on waivers from bullpen-needy clubs.

Kyle Harrison (forearm) threw a bullpen session on Saturday without any issues.

Harrison underwent a precautionary MRI recently that came back clean for any structural issues. The last hurdle for him to clear before returning from the injured list will be to face live hitters. He’s eligible to return from the injured list on Friday, though it may be optimistic to expect him back the first day that he’s eligible.

Kolek had been away from the team since July 4 due to a family medical emergency — the second time he had been placed on the list this season. He’s now dealing with an elbow issue and will have as much time away from the club as he needs.

Ezequiel Tovar is not in the Rockies’ starting lineup for Sunday’s series finale against the Reds.

It has been a brutal season offensively for the 24-year-old shortstop, hitting a paltry .199/.244/.327 with just eight homers, 32 RBI and five stolen bases in 348 plate appearances. Willi Castro will start in his place at shortstop and bat fifth against Reds’ right-hander Hunter Greene.

Otto Lopez is not in the Marlins’ starting lineup for Sunday afternoon’s matchup against the Brewers.

There doesn’t appear to be any sort of injury situation going on there, it’s just a routine day off for the 27-year-old infielder. Javier Sanoja will start at shortstop in his place while Leo Jimenez starts at third base and will bat sixth for the Fish against Brewers’ left-hander Robert Gasser.

Marlins optioned OF Rece Hinds to Triple-A Jacksonville.

The Marlins wanted to add an extra infielder to their roster on Sunday and unfortunately Hinds got the boot to make room. He appeared in just one game during his time with the team, going hitless in two at-bats including a strikeout. He’ll continue to serve as extra outfield depth at the Triple-A level.
