A late addition to the Phillies lineup with Kyle Schwarber out, Edmundo Sosa drove in five runs with a homer, a double and a groundout Tuesday against the Nationals.
They should just always tell him he’s filling in for Schwarber. It’s Sosa’s third career five-RBI game, which seems like a lot for a utilityman. He had one in 2021 and another last September in his stunning three-game against the Marlins. Following a rough May, Sosa is hitting .306/.333/.583 in 12 games this month.
