Connelly Early (elbow) felt some forearm tightness during his live batting practice session on Thursday.
Early is working his way back from posterior elbow inflammation, so his now feeling tightness in his forearm is not a great sign. Nationals manager Drew Butera said that the team will be “ultra cautious” with Early and “hit pause” on his throwing program for now before deciding on next steps. With Washington now 5.5 games out of a playoff spot, there’s a good chance we won’t see Early pitch any games for them this season.
