Michael Wacha allowed one run in seven innings and got the win in the Royals’ 3-1 victory over the Tigers on Saturday.
Wacha gave up three hits, walked one and struck out six. He improved to 7-8 with the win. Outside of the home run he allowed to Hao-Yu Lee in the fifth inning, Wacha tamed a Tigers lineup that has been in free fall since Riley Greene (hamstring) hit the injured list. Wacha lowered his ERA to 3.49. He’s lined up to face the Guardians on the road next weekend.
