The 29-year-old fantasy ace draws an extremely favorable matchup against a borderline Triple-A lineup for his final regular-season outing. He’ll presumably get the ball after Yoshinobu Yamamoto for Los Angeles’ second playoff contest.

De Paula winds up back in the minors with generational talent Shohei Ohtani returning from the injured list. The 21-year-old top prospect lived up to the considerable hype, making the leap from Double-A to the majors seamlessly, hitting .323 (10-for-31) with one homer, seven RBI and one steal in 11 games. He also walked 11 times and only struck out five times in 42 plate appearances. He’ll obviously garner serious consideration for a postseason roster spot with the NLDS being the earliest he could be brought back to the majors.

Hurt winds up back in the minors with both Tarik Skubal and Shohei Ohtani returning to the club’s active roster. The 28-year-old righty has posted a respectable 4.14 ERA across 45 2/3 innings of work in the majors this season.

There’s zero incentive for Toronto to push Bateman back out there after being officially eliminated from playoff contention earlier in the day. The 24-year-old rookie will sit out both ends of the twin bill after exiting Monday’s series opener with right hip discomfort. He’s day-to-day heading into the Blue Jays’ final three games of the year.

The bullpen churn continues. The Rangers are bringing up a fresh arm as they try to hang on for the AL West division title. Collyer has posted an underwhelming 5.09 ERA across 23 innings of low-leverage work this season.

Santos will remain on standby with the Rangers on the verge of punching their ticket to the postseason in a couple days. The 24-year-old righty has made just one relief appearance in the big leagues this season. He’ll be in the mix for a playoff roster spot.

The decision bumps Clay Holmes back to Friday’s doubleheader against the Red Sox with David Peterson expected to start the other contest. It’s a nice break for fantasy managers as Boyd draws a much easier matchup to close out the regular season.

Lee rejoins Toronto’s bullpen for the nightcap of Wednesday’s doubleheader against the Orioles. He’s been hit hard in seven relief appearances this season.
