Andrew Painter allowed four runs with seven strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings in a loss against the Mets on Saturday.

Painter struck out two in a scoreless first inning, then gave up a solo homer to Carson Benge in the second. After two more scoreless frames, Painter ran into some trouble in the fifth. A walk and a base hit put two runners on for Francisco Alvarez, who took Painter deep for a three-run blast. Painter would strike out the next three batters, then recorded the first out in the sixth before ending his day at 85 pitches with seven strikeouts. The 23-year-old right-hander will take a 5.59 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, and a 107/44 K/BB ratio across 120 2/3 innings into a start against the Rays in Philadelphia on Friday.

His 4.25 xFIP suggests there will be better results in the future for the 23-year-old right-hander.

Andrew Painter allowed one run with three strikeouts over five innings in a no-decision against the Braves on Sunday.

Painter gave up a run in the first inning on two hits and a sacrifice fly. He recovered with a scoreless second and went on to keep the Braves off the board for another three innings, ending his day after five with three strikeouts. He scattered six hits and four walks. The 23-year-old right-hander will take a 5.54 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, and a 100/43 K/BB ratio across 115 1/3 innings into a start against the Mets in New York on Saturday.

Andrew Painter yielded five runs and 10 hits in five innings Tuesday in a loss to the Astros.

It’s something of a setback for Painter, but at least he struck out six. He also allowed fewer hard-hit balls (eight) than hits. The loss is Painter’s first in eight starts since rejoining the Phillies’ rotation. He has a 3.77 ERA and a 44/15 K/BB in 45 1/3 innings over the span. He’ll try to bounce back in a tough matchup in Atlanta on Sunday.

Andrew Painter received a no-decision on Wednesday in Arizona, tossing seven scoreless innings while striking out six as the Phillies lost 1-0.

Painter allowed just two hits and didn’t walk anyone in the 93-pitch gem. He has been a different pitcher since returning from the minor leagues at the end of July, allowing two runs or fewer in five of seven outings. The 23-year-old rookie had a 1.66 WHIP before he was optioned to Triple-A, but that mark is now below 1 since he was recalled. He’ll look to keep it rolling at home against the Astros next time out.

All three runs allowed by Painter came in the first inning. From that point on, the 23-year-old was excellent, and while that damage prevented this outing from being one that would be deemed anything more than solid, the results from the second inning on were encouraging. His 5.95 ERA tells the story of how little consistency — of the good kind, anyway — he’s shown, but there have been enough good moments to believe the future is incredibly bright. A chance to keep his good run going comes against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.

Andrew Painter allowed one run in seven innings and got the win in the Phillies’ 12-3 victory over the Cardinals on Saturday.

Painter gave up five hits, walked none and struck out eight. He improved to 3-8 with the win. Painter bounced back after allowing five runs in his last start that also included a first inning grand slam. The eight strikeouts tied a career-high for the 23-year-old rookie right-hander. Painter has a 6.04 ERA and 4.54 xFIP in 19 appearances (17 starts) this year. He’s lined up to face the Angels on the road next weekend.

Andrew Painter received a no-decision on Sunday against the Twins, allowing five earned runs on six hits over five innings pitched.

Painter struck out two and walked three, raising his ERA to 6.43. He gave up a grand slam to Brooks Lee in the bottom of the first and settled down somewhat after that inning, though Kody Clemens tagged him for a solo shot in the third. Before Sunday, Painter had pitched better since being recalled at the end of July. He still has a ways to go before he can be relied on in standard fantasy leagues. A home start against the Cardinals is up next.

Painter gave up two hits, walked three and struck out six. He improved to 2-8 with the win. Painter rebounded nicely after leaving his last start with hamstring tightness. He now has 16 strikeouts in 15 1/3 innings over his last three starts. Painter has a 6.27 ERA, though his 4.61 xFIP points towards better results in the future. He’s lined up to face the Twins on the road on Sunday.

It sounds like Painter could have pushed forward on the hamstring had the Phillies wanted him to, but they opted to play it safe. Painter said he feels good about making his next start, which would figure to be against the Cardinals assuming nothing moves around.

Painter threw just 63 pitches over four innings during his second start back in the majors. He finished with four strikeouts and allowed one run on three hits over four frames. The 23-year-old former top pitching prospect will undergo further evaluation to determine the severity of the issue and whether he’ll require a trip to the injured list. It’s not an ideal development for the Phillies since they don’t have a ton of starting pitching depth and just passed the trade deadline. There should be a decision on his status later this week.

Pages had a sac fly that accounted for the Dodgers’ only run over the first nine innings. He had a chance to break the game open with two on in the eighth, but he instead grounded into an inning-ending double play. He got another chance in the 10th after an Alex Call double gave the Dodgers the lead and essentially put the game away with his 23rd homer of the year. It was his second in six games since he returned from a fractured hand. He ends up at .274/.343/.468 with 85 RBI in 134 games.

It’s surprising that he hasn’t been able to miss more bats with his 95-99 mph fastball, cutter and slider, and he might be in some danger of landing on the waiver wire with the Giants needing to make room for a bunch of injured players returning from the 60-day IL.

Conine connected on his 19th homer of the season. The 29-year-old appeared in only 94 games, but he made the most of them with an .846 OPS and 43 RBI. It seems likely that Conine did enough to earn a larger role with Miami to open the 2027 season, and his power makes him someone to monitor in deeper formats.

The right-hander showed he’s still a strong option, and be it for Miami or a new club, there will be fantasy-relevance, even if he doesn’t miss bats with the best of them.

He’s more dynasty play than redraft next year, but the stuff is good enough that it could lead to a breakout next summer.
