Heliot Ramos went 2-for-4 with a solo homer against the Marlins on Saturday.
Ramos continues to swing a hot bat, collecting two more hits on Saturday. After knocking a base hit in the sixth inning, he took Tyler Phillips deep for a solo homer to lead off the eighth. It was a rare opposite-field homer by a right-handed hitter at Oracle Park. The 26-year-old outfielder is hitting .277/.320/.426 with three homers, 11 runs scored, and 14 steals across 100 plate appearances.

James Schiano talks about the "suddenly surging" Mets, analyzing how they will recover from "ironman" Francisco Lindor suffering a calf strain and sharing why New York is "in a bit of a pickle" at the shortstop position.
  • SF Starting Pitcher #38
Robbie Ray allowed one run with four strikeouts over five innings in a no-decision against the Marlins on Saturday.
Ray stranded two runners in a 31-pitch first inning. He worked around a walk in the second, then allowed a run in on two hits in the third. Ray settled in to give the Giants two more scoreless frames, ending his day after five at 97 pitches. He struck out four. The 34-year-old southpaw will take a 2.70 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and a 35/14 K/BB ratio across 33 1/3 innings into a start against the Rays in Tampa Bay on Friday.
  • MIA Starting Pitcher #39
Eury Pérez allowed four runs with six strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings in a loss against the Giants on Saturday.
Pérez kept the Giants scoreless through four innings until Drew Gilbert took him deep for a solo homer in the fifth. Casey Schmitt followed with a two-run blast off Pérez in the sixth. Pérez walked the following batter and was relieved with one out in the frame at 94 pitches. He scattered seven hits and two walks while striking out six. The 23-year-old right-hander holds a 4.60 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, and a 33/14 K/BB ratio across 31 1/3 innings. He’ll look to turn things around against the Phillies in Miami on Friday.
  • BOS Manager
Jeff Passan of ESPN reports that the Red Sox have fired manager Alex Cora.
Passan reports that the Red Sox also have fired hitting coach Peter Fatse, bench coach Rámon Vazquez and game-planning coach Jason Varitek. This comes after the Red Sox picked up a 17-1 win over the Orioles on Saturday, but this was likely in the works for a long time. Even with the win, Cora and Boston had just a 10-17 record, and the Red Sox will turn to a new leader in hopes of salvaging the season. Cora has compiled a 619-541 win-loss record while leading Boston to a championship in 2019 over his eight seasons as skipper.
  • TB 3rd Baseman #15
Ben Williamson went 3-for-4 with two extra-base hits, two RBI, and a run scored to lead the Rays to a 6-1 win over the Twins on Saturday.
Williamson knocked a base hit in the second inning, then hit a triple in the seventh to drive in a run before scoring on a base hit. He then added a double in the eighth to plate one more run and extend the Rays’ lead. After the three-hit day, Williamson is hitting .261/.338/.362 with 13 runs, 10 RBI, and two steals across 78 plate appearances.
  • TB Right Fielder #17
Jake Fraley went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer against the Twins on Saturday.
Fraley broke a scoreless game with a two-run homer off Bailey Ober in the fourth inning. He was later pinch-hit for with a left-hander on the mound to lead off the seventh. The home run was the second of the season for Fraley. He’s hitting .240/.309/.440 with four runs, four RBI, and two steals across 55 plate appearances.
  • MIN 2nd Baseman #15
Luke Keaschall went 1-for-3 with a run scored and a steal against the Rays on Saturday.
Keaschall knocked a base hit in the second inning and swiped second for his sixth steal of the season. He was later hit by a pitch in the ninth and came around to score the Twins’ only run of the game on a base hit. The 23-year-old second baseman is off to a slow start, hitting .206/.255/.265 with one homer, 12 runs scored, and 12 RBI, though a low .233 BABIP is the difference from the .340 mark he had over 207 plate appearances in 2025.
  • TB Starting Pitcher #18
Shane McClanahan tossed five shutout innings with seven strikeouts in a win over the Twins on Saturday.
McClanahan had his best start so far, holding the Twins scoreless over five frames. He scattered three hits and two walks while striking out seven batters on 15 whiffs. This was as good as McClanahan has looked all year. He’ll look to keep it going when he takes a 3.91 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and a 25/13 K/BB ratio across 23 innings into a start against the Giants in Tampa Bay on Friday.
  • MIN Starting Pitcher #17
Bailey Ober allowed two runs while striking out three over six innings in a loss against the Rays on Saturday.
Ober worked three scoreless frames against the Rays before Jake Fraley took him deep in the fourth with a two-run blast. Bailey gave the Twins two more scoreless innings, ending his day after six with three strikeouts. Ober generated only three swinging strikes and continues to sit at 88 mph on the fastball. It makes him a risky option when he takes a 3.94 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and a 27/11 K/BB ratio across 32 innings into a start against the Blue Jays in Minnesota on Thursday.
  • TOR 3rd Baseman #7
Kazuma Okamoto went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, two runs scored, and a walk to lead the Blue Jays to a 5-3 win over the Guardians on Saturday.
Okamoto continues to get comfortable at the dish. He stayed hot on Saturday with a solo blast off Joey Cantillo in the fourth inning, his third homer in six games and team-leading fifth of the season. He added a base hit in the sixth and brought home another run with a bases-loaded walk in the seventh. It was the fourth multi-hit day in his last seven games. The 29-year-old slugger is hitting .237/.324/.419 with 12 runs scored and 11 RBI across 105 plate appearances.
