Andre Rienzo (finger) expects to make his scheduled start Thursday against the Royals.
Rienzo was scratched from his turn in the White Sox rotation last week due to a blister on his pitching hand. The right-hander is not a good fantasy streamer vs. KC.

Francisco Alvarez (knee) went 2-for-3 with an RBI on Tuesday in a minor league rehab game for Triple-A Syracuse.
Alvarez doubled twice in addition to playing five innings behind the plate. He also threw out Jonathan Ornelas trying to swipe second base. The 24-year-old backstop has made a remarkably quick recovery from last month’s surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee. It’s possible he’s ready to return to New York’s lineup later this week or next week.
Reynolds putting together a solid season
Bryan Reynolds has been heating up as of late, with the two-time All-Star proving he still has plenty left in the tank for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
  • WSH Catcher #14
Drew Millas was removed from Tuesday’s game against the Marlins with a left upper lip laceration.
Millas was struck by his own helmet after it fell off on a head-first slide into third base. He was left with a bloody lip and wound up leaving the contest. Keibert Ruiz took over behind the plate.
  • MIN Relief Pitcher #57
Twins optioned LHP Kody Funderburk to Triple-A St. Paul.
Funderburk was shipped out ahead of Tuesday’s contest against the White Sox. The 29-year-old lefty holds a pedestrian 3.44 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 16/10 K/BB ratio over 18 1/3 innings in the majors this season.
  • FA Relief Pitcher #67
    Angels released LHP Joey Lucchesi.
Lucchesi was pitching at Triple-A Salt Lake after re-signing with the Angels on a new minor league pact last month. The 32-year-old southpaw made five relief appearances for Los Angeles earlier this year.
  • TEX Shortstop #5
Corey Seager (back) went 1-for-2 on Tuesday in a minor league rehab contest for Double-A Frisco.
Seager got two at-bats under his belt and played three innings at shortstop in his rehab debut. The 32-year-old fantasy standout isn’t going to need too much time to ramp back up and should be ready to return to Texas at some point later this week.
  • TEX Left Fielder #36
Wyatt Langford (forearm) went 1-for-2 with a stolen base on Tuesday in a minor league rehab game for Double-A Frisco.
Langford also walked twice in the contest. He played seven innings in left field. The 24-year-old is working his way back from a forearm strain that put him on the shelf back in late April. He figures to be ready to return to the majors at some point later this week.
  • BOS Shortstop #10
Trevor Story (abdominal) told reporters he’s likely to miss 8-12 weeks after undergoing sports hernia surgery last month.
Story will likely be sidelined until at least late July after undergoing the procedure on May 22. The 33-year-old shortstop was playing through the injury for most of the season, which clearly had a negative impact on his production at the plate. It’ll be Marcelo Mayer and Isiah Kiner-Falefa handling shortstop in his absence until the second half of the year.
  • ATL Catcher #30
Braves manager Walt Weiss said Drake Baldwin (oblique) could potentially return in mid-to-late June.
Baldwin hit the injured list with a low-grade right oblique strain back on May 19. The 25-year-old rising star, who was hitting .303/.389/.543 with 13 homers and 38 RBI in 48 games prior to the injury, is on track to return to Atlanta’s lineup at some point during their next homestand, which runs from June 16-21. His return should provide a significant boost for the Braves and fantasy managers alike, as he’s delivered first-round value this season.
  • COL 1st Baseman
TJ Rumfield (shoulder) is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s contest against the Angels.
Rumfield returns to Colorado’s lineup at DH following a two-game absence due to right shoulder inflammation. The 26-year-old rookie slugger has .284/.360/.443 with seven homers and 29 RBI through 58 games this season.
  • NYM 2nd Baseman #39
Mets re-signed 2B Christian Arroyo to a minor league contract.
Arroyo hit free agency briefly earlier this week but winds up returning to New York on a brand new minor league pact. The 31-year-old infielder has hit an impressive .303/.333/.446 with five homers and six steals in 43 games for Triple-A Syracuse this season. He hasn’t appeared in the big leagues since the 2023 campaign.
