Braves RHP prospect Max Povse contributed eight scoreless innings Saturday in a no-decision for Double-A Mississippi.
He registered five strikeouts while only letting up two hits and one walk. Povse took a no-hitter into the sixth inning before yielding a one-out single to Pensacola starting pitcher Sal Romano. The right-hander is now undefeated with a 2.45 ERA in his last eight starts. He started the year with High-A Carolina but earned a promotion by going 5-5 with a 3.71 ERA in 15 outings.

Rays transferred RHP Ryan Pepiot to the 60-day injured list.
Pepiot wasn’t going to make it back before mid-to-late May anyways, so this is merely a procedural move to free up a spot on Tampa Bay’s 40-man roster. The 28-year-old righty has been out recovering from hip inflammation since the conclusion of spring training. He’s resumed throwing and should be ready for a minor league rehab assignment at some point in the coming weeks.
Is there larger issue with Crochet's performance?
Eric Samulski discusses Red Sox ace Garrett Crochet's disastrous outing against the Twins and whether fantasy managers should be worried about his performance moving forward.
  • TOR Catcher #55
Tyler Heineman (back) remains out of the lineup for the fourth straight game on Tuesday against the Brewers.
It’ll be rookie backstop Brandon Valenzuela making his fourth straight start behind the dish while Heineman remains sidelined with back spasms. It’s possible he’ll require a trip to the injured list at some point this week to enable Toronto to bring up some emergency catching depth.
  • ATL Right Fielder #36
Eli White plantar fasciitis) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday’s contest against the Marlins.
White hasn’t played since last Tuesday due to an ongoing foot issue. It’s possible he’ll require a trip to the injured list if he’s unable to go in the next couple days, but we’ve seen Atlanta play with a shorthanded bench for years at this point.
  • HOU Starting Pitcher #41
Spencer Arrighetti will start this week against the Rockies.
The official word comes from Astros manager Joe Espada after Arrighetti joined the club on their taxi squad. The 26-year-old righty will get the ball on either Wednesday or Thursday at Daikin Park. It’s a tasty matchup right out of the gate, which gives Arrighetti some streaming appeal in deeper mixed leagues as he replaces an injured Cristian Javier (shoulder) in Houston’s rotation.
  • HOU Relief Pitcher #71
Josh Hader (biceps) faced hitters on Tuesday in a live batting practice session at Daikin Park.
Hader was sitting 91-93 mph during the 20-pitch session as he continues working his way back from biceps tendinitis that put him on the shelf in spring training. The 32-year-old veteran stopper will likely need a couple minor league rehab outings to get back up to speed, but he’s close to making it back to Houston’s bullpen, which has been struggling mightily during his absence. It’s possible he’ll be ready to make his season debut at some point in May.
  • SF Left Fielder #9
Harrison Bader is out of the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Reds with hamstring soreness.
Bader has been dealing with an ongoing hamstring issue since the late stages of spring training. The 31-year-old outfielder is on the bench for Tuesday’s game against the Reds. It sounds like he’ll avoid a trip to the injured list for now.
  • HOU 1st Baseman #8
Christian Walker is in the lineup for Tuesday’s series opener against the Rockies.
Walker is at first base and batting fifth after missing a game over the weekend due to a minor leg issue. The 35-year-old veteran slugger has gone just 5-for-23 at the plate over his last seven contests.
  • BOS Center Fielder #3
Ceddanne Rafaela is on the bench for Tuesday’s game against the Twins.
Rafaela takes a seat following seven consecutive starts in center field with righty Mick Abel toeing the rubber for Minnesota. It’ll be Jarren Duran taking over in center field. The 25-year-old speedster is hitting .318 (7-for-22) over his last seven games.
  • DET Right Fielder #18
Jahmai Jones is absent from Tuesday’s lineup against the Royals due to illness.
It’s a tough break for Jones since he likely would’ve been in the lineup to face Royals southpaw Cole Ragans. The 28-year-old utility specialist should be ready to go once he’s feeling better later this week.
  • AZ Starting Pitcher #29
Diamondbacks activated RHP Merrill Kelly from the 15-day injured list.
Kelly, who was supposed to be Arizona’s Opening Day starter this season, will take the ball on Tuesday night against the Orioles for his season debut. His return pushes Brandon Pfaadt to the bullpen until further notice. The 37-year-old veteran right-hander offers some appeal as a back-end rotation stabilizer in deeper fantasy formats after registering a strong pristine 3.52 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 167/48 K/BB ratio across 184 innings last year between the Diamondbacks and Rangers
