  • LAA Relief Pitcher #64

Jake Thompson has agreed to a deal with the Lotte Giants of the Korea Baseball Organization.
Thompson had a 4.96 ERA, 1.53 WHIP, and 14/11 K/BB ratio in 16 1/3 innings of relief this past season with the Phillies. The former top prospect should get another chance to work as a starting pitcher in the KBO. He’s only 24 years old, so we wouldn’t rule out an eventual return to Major League Baseball.
  • MIL Left Fielder #22

Christian Yelich is not in the lineup for Sunday’s tilt against the White Sox.
Yelich will get a breather for Sunday and also with left-hander Anthony Kay on the bump for Chicago. William Contreras will operate as the designated hitter with Jeferson Quero getting the start behind the plate.
Can Marlins progress towards competing in 2026?
The Dan Le Batard show debates how the Miami Marlins can get fans back into the good graces of the Miami fanbase and why 2026 might be the beginning of resurrecting that enthusiasm.
  • HOU Shortstop #3
Jeremy Peña is leading off and playing shortstop Sunday against the Angels.
Peña was given a day of rest Saturday as he’s still not 100 percent from his fractured finger, but he’ll be back at the top of the lineup against Jack Kochanowicz and the Los Angeles pitching staff.
  • BAL Left Fielder #17
Colton Cowser is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Twins.
Even with right-hander Bailey Ober on the bump, Cowser will get a Sunday breather for the finale. Dylan Beavers will instead patrol center field and hit eighth in Cowser’s absence.
  • TEX Starting Pitcher #48
Jacob deGrom (neck) was able to play catch from 120 feet away Saturday.
DeGrom told reporters he was confident that he’d be able to to start Tuesday against the Orioles on Saturday, and the fact he was able to throw is a positive sign. He’s also a hurler with a significant injury history and it’s not even April yet, so it won’t be a surprise if he is skipped at least one turn. Fantasy managers should pay close attention for updates Monday, and be prepared for the worst.
  • SEA Center Fielder #44
Julio Rodríguez hit a game-tying single in the ninth inning, but the Mariners fell to the Guardians in an extra-inning affair on Saturday.
Rodríguez was hitless coming into the ninth inning in his first three games, but he picked a heck of a time to get that first knock. He laced a single to right-center to score Cole Young with two outs to tie the game at 3-3. He also drew a walk, so he’s now hitting .091/.231/.091 over the first three contests. More fireworks for J-Rod should come soon, but it’s worth nothing he’s gotten off to poor starts in each of his previous campaigns.
  • SEA Relief Pitcher #75
Andrés Muñoz allowed three runs — one earned — over an inning to take a loss to the Guardians on Saturday.
Muñoz gave up his first run after a throw from Brendan Donovan on a bunt attempt ended up about 40 feet off target to score a run. A batter later, he gave up a two-run shot to Chase DeLauter that was much more quality hitting than a bad pitch from Muñoz. Expect the 27-year-old to bounce back just fine in the coming days, and fortunately only one of the runs is earned for fantasy managers.
  • CLE Right Fielder #24
Chase DeLauter hit a two-run homer in the 10th to help the Guardians to a 6-5 win over the Mariners in 10 innings Saturday.
Goodness gracious. DeLauter was struggling throughout this game; going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts before the tenth. Then he hit his fourth homer in the first three games of 2026, and it came on a 97 mph fastball on the outer-part of the plate from Andrés Muñoz for a two-run shot. There’s regression coming if only because baseball is too hard for a player to be this good, but it’s impossible to not be impressed — and intrigued — by these first three contests.
  • CLE Relief Pitcher #36
Cade Smith allowed a run and blew the save Saturday against the Mariners, but was credited with the win.
This game featured two of the better closers in baseball, but neither Smith nor Andrés Muñoz pitched well Saturday night. Smith gave up a double to Cole Young, and with two outs, Julio Rodríguez was able to lash an opposite-field single to score the tying run. Fortunately for fantasy managers, the Guardians scored three in the tenth, so Smith was able to pick up a less-than-deserving win.
  • CLE Relief Pitcher #54
Joey Cantillo worked only 3 2/3 innings while allowing two runs in a no-decision versus the Mariners on Saturday.
Cantillo was able to strike out five and showed decent stuff, but the control was an issue throughout. He walked four, and he needed a whopping 91 pitches to get those 14 outs before exiting in the fourth. There were some good moments from Cantillo in this outing, but not enough to call it a quality fantasy start or really anything close. His second outing comes Friday against the Cubs.
  • SEA Starting Pitcher #22
Bryan Woo didn’t factor into the decision Saturday despite allowing just two runs in six innings against the Guardians.
Woo was able to work at least six innings in his first 22 starts of 2025, and he’s able to do it again. He dominated the Guardians for the first five frames, but had some control issues in the sixth that allowed a pair of runs. It’s still a very impressive outing that saw Woo strike out nine, and his overall command was outstanding for the overwhelming majority of the outing. Woo will be back on the bump next week against the Angels, and is a must-start regardless of opponent at this stage.
