Miguel Vargas homered and stole a base in a loss for the White Sox to the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.

Vargas’s homer is the fifth of the season for the 26-year-old, while the steal is the fourth. He also drew a walk, and after an awful start to the year, he’s now slashing .193/.333/.434. All but that batting average will play from a fantasy perspective, and the hits should start to fall on a more consistent basis.

Munetaka Murakami

CWS 3rd Baseman #5

Munetaka Murakami hit a two-run homer in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.

Murakami has now homered in five straight games. The 26-year-old is up to 10 on the season, and he’s plated 19 runs in just 24 games. There’s so much swing-and-miss in Murakami’s profile that fantasy managers have to deal with some less-than-spectacular stuff, but the power and approach are so good that it really might not matter.

Geraldo Perdomo tripled twice in a win over the White Sox on Wednesday.

Perdomo hit two of the three triples for the D-backs in the win. He’s up to three three-baggers on the season, and those hits along with a single has pushed his slash to .266/.366/.416.

Ildemaro Vargas homered twice and drove in five runs in a victory over the White Sox on Wednesday.

Raise your hand if you thought Ildemaro Vargas would have five homers and be slugging .697 for the first month of the season. You liar. Vargas hit both homers off Anthony Kay, a two-run shot and a three-run blast, respectively. This isn’t remotely sustainable, but good for you, Ildemaro Vargas.

Nolan Arenado

AZ 3rd Baseman #28

Nolan Arenado went 4-for-4 while homering to help the Diamondbacks to an 11-7 win over the White Sox on Wednesday.

Arenado also scored three runs and drew a walk. These used to games used to happen (relatively) routinely for the 35-year-old, and it’s a nice nostalgia trip to see one from the 35-year-old. He’s still slashing a mundane .263/.286/.438, but he’s certainly looked better than he did for most of 2025 in the small sample of April.

Eduardo Rodriguez

AZ Starting Pitcher #57

Eduardo Rodriguez was able to get a win over the White Sox on Wednesday despite allowing four runs over five innings.

Rodriguez wasn’t great, but he didn’t have to be with Anthony Kay once again pitching ineffectively and giving him eight runs of support. The 33-year-old allowed six hits and three walks, and this could have been a much worse outing, all things considered. After an outstanding beginning to his 2026, Rodriguez has now struggled over his last two outings; giving up eight runs over those 10 innings.

Anthony Kay

CWS Relief Pitcher #18

Anthony Kay was rocked for eight runs in 2 2/3 innings in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.

Kay was awful again, and this is his second outing in a row where he went just 2 2/3 innings. The 31-year-old allowed eight hits, two homers, and struck out just one before being pulled. That’s pretty much the opposite of the goal, folks. Kay will try and get going in a start scheduled for Monday against the Angels.

Hunter Goodman

COL Catcher #15

Hunter Goodman went 3-for-4 with a homer and two runs scored in an 8-3 win for the Rockies over the Padres on Wednesday.

Goodman smacked his sixth homer of the season with a solo shot off Wandy Peralta in the eighth inning to extend the Colorado lead to 8-2. He also singled twice while drawing a walk, and his slash improved to .264/.340/.540. After a bit of a scuffle over his first couple handfuls of games, Goodman is back to swinging the stick that made him one of the breakout backstops of 2026. There’s very little reason to think he’s going to slow down much in the coming months.

Luis Campusano

SD Catcher #12

Luis Campusano went 3-for-4 with a homer and two runs scored in a loss to the Rockies on Wednesday.

Campusano took Jaden Hill for a ride with a solo shot in the seventh inning. That’s the second homemr of the campaign for the backstop, and he is already up to six doubles to go with the roundtrippers. IT’s very early, but Campusano has played well in his limited time with a slash of .333/.385/.667 in his 36 at-bats.
