López provides the Mets with some extra bullpen depth for Saturday’s twin bill against the Braves. The 29-year-old righty has registered a solid 3.38 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 10/5 K/BB ratio across 10 2/3 innings (seven appearances) this season in the majors.

Consider Arraez questionable for Wednesday. The Giants could start him at DH if necessary. That would mean sitting Rafael Devers or, more likely, Bryce Eldridge, but that’s a fair move with the A’s starting a lefty.

Carlos Carrasco being in a close game in the seventh inning makes a lot more sense now. Suarez, who last pitched Friday and had five days off before that outing, could be back on Wednesday, according to Walt Weiss. Though that’s expecting accurate information from someone who wasn’t forthcoming initially.

Tatis doubled on a 104.2 mph line drive in the second inning to bring one run home, then scored on a base hit. Leading off the seventh, he sent a fastball 410 feet over the center field wall for a solo homer off Carlos Carrasco. For as hard as Tatis hits the ball, it was only his third home run of the season. He’s slashing .286/.348/.370 with 34 runs scored, 28 RBI, and 18 steals across 334 plate appearances.

Dubon knocked a base hit and scored a run in the second inning, then later took JR Ritchie deep for a solo homer in the fifth for his eighth home run of the season. With eight homers over 74 games, he passes last season’s total of seven across 133 and is well on pace to surpass his career high of 10. The 31-year-old is hitting .264/.316/.417 with 32 runs scored and 43 RBI across 298 plate appearances.

Miller took the mound with the game tied in the ninth inning against the Braves. He struck out two in a clean frame, then returned for the top of the tenth. He retired all three batters once again with one strikeout before the Padres walked it off in the bottom of the frame to give Miller the win. The 27-year-old right-hander has been the game’s top closer, posting a 0.79 ERA, 0.79 WHIP, and a 66/13 K/BB ratio with 21 saves across 34 innings.

Wandy Peralta had started the game as the opener for the Padres. He tossed a scoreless inning, then handed it over to Canning. Canning then surrendered four runs and recorded just two outs before he was ultimately pulled. The team would’ve undoubtedly wanted to get more out of Canning, but had to turn the game into a full bullpen game. Kyle Hart followed with one run allowed over two innings. Canning ends the day with a 7.38 ERA, 1.66 WHIP, and a 43/26 K/BB ratio across 42 2/3 innings.

Ritchie tossed a scoreless first inning, then completely fell apart in the second. It started with two walks with one out, followed by four hits to bring five runs home for the Padres. The last run was scored on an error, making it an unearned run. Ritchie settled in to give the Braves three more scoreless innings while collecting seven strikeouts. He ends the day with a 4.87 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, and a 37/25 K/BB ratio across 40 2/3 innings. Ritchie is in line to take on the Cardinals in Atlanta next Tuesday.

Lee put the Giants on the board with the first run of the game as he took Aaron Civale deep for a solo homer in the second inning. He later added a base hit in the fourth and drew a walk in the sixth before stealing second. He looked to be a bit banged up after a collision on the steal, but remained in the game. The 27-year-old outfielder is hitting .331/.365/.470 with five homers, 40 runs scored, 27 RBI, and five steals across 285 plate appearances.

Kilian was summoned to close out the game against the A’s with a two-run lead in the ninth inning. He worked around a hit and a walk, striking out one batter to secure the win and convert his fifth save. The 29-year-old right-hander is considered the Giants’ primary closer, working a 2.97 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and a 39/16 K/BB ratio across 33 1/3 innings.

Ray held the A’s off the board through two innings, then gave up an unearned run on a base hit following an error in the third. He settled in nicely, shutting down the A’s over five more scoreless frames. He scattered only two hits and walked four while striking out six. The 34-year-old left-hander will take a 3.70 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, and an 80/42 K/BB ratio across 87 2/3 innings into a start against the Braves in San Francisco on Sunday.
