Brewers optioned C Mario Feliciano to Triple-A Nashville.
Feliciano was summoned to provide the Brewers with some extra catching depth after Omar Narváez landed on the injured list earlier this month. The 23-year-old backstop has appeared in two games this season in the majors.

Padres agreed to terms with 1B/OF Gavin Sheets on a one-year, $4.5 million contract.
It still seems pretty ridiculous that Sheets should be worth $4.5 million in arbitration, but he actually was a valuable player for the first time last season, hitting .252/.317/.429 in his first year with the Padres. That gave him a career line of .236/.301/.397 in 1,979 plate appearances. As things stand now, he figures to be the Padres’ primary DH against right-handed pitchers. It’d be nice if they could upgrade and turn him into more of a spare part, but it’s unclear if the budget will allow for that.
Okamoto could be 'undervalued' 2026 fantasy asset
The Blue Jays continued their strong offseason by adding Japanese star Kazuma Okamoto on a four-year deal, leaving Eric Samulski to assess what his presence means for Toronto's offseason plans and fantasy assets.
  • HOU Shortstop #3
Astros signed SS Jeremy Peña to a one-year, $9.475 million deal to avoid arbitration.
Peña ended the season on the IL with an oblique strain, but was tremendous when healthy in 2025, posting a .304/.363/.477 slash line with 68 runs scored, 17 homers, 62 RBI, and 20 steals in just 125 games. The Astros’ lineup should be a bit stronger next season with full seasons from Yordan Alvarez and Isaac Paredes, which makes Peña a strong target in fantasy leagues.
  • LAA Catcher #14
Angels signed C Logan O’Hoppe to a one-year, $2.625 million deal to avoid arbitration.
The 25-year-old battled through injuries in 2025 and failed to repeat his solid 2024 season. He did hit 19 home runs in 119 games, but also slashed .213/.258/.371. O’Hoppe seems likely to settle in as a 25 home run bat, so if he can go back to hitting around .240, he would be a real asset as a catcher in fantasy leagues.
  • TOR Center Fielder #5
Blue Jays signed OF Daulton Varsho to a one-year, $10.75 million deal to avoid arbitration.
Varsho has never quite taken off like many expected when he was traded from the Diamondbacks to the Blue Jays after the 2022 season. Last year, he hit .238/.284/.548 with 20 home runs and just two steals in 71 games. The power was nice to see, and Varsho plays tremendous defense in center field, but he has hit just .221 in three seasons with the Blue Jays, which significantly caps his fantasy upside, especially if he’s no longer stealing 15 or more bases in a season.
  • COL Center Fielder #9
Rockies agreed to terms with OF Brenton Doyle on a one-year, $3.1 million contract.
Doyle is a Super Two player, so he still has four seasons left before free agency. He’s come up in trade rumors this winter, but the Rockies need to hold on to him as their defensive anchor in center and hope that he bounces back to 2024 levels offensively. If that happens, he’ll have considerably more trade value next winter.
  • COL Right Fielder #22
Rockies agreed to terms with OF Mickey Moniak on a one-year, $4 million contract.
Moniak hit .270/.306/.518 with 24 homers in his first season with the Rockies, but he did so with unusually awful defensive metrics that rendered him just a replacement-level player according to both versions of WAR. If that was a glitch, maybe he’ll be an adequate platoon right fielder for the Rockies this season. Still, there was a good case for the team moving on and trying to find someone with more upside.
  • COL Starting Pitcher #18
Rockies agreed to terms with RHP Ryan Feltner on a one-year, $2.45 million contract.
Feltner seemed like the best bet in the Rockies’ rotation going into last season, but he went down with a back injury after posting a 4.75 ERA in six starts and he was a complete mess after trying to return in June, resulting in him being shut down in the minors the following month. If he proves healthy in spring training, he should get a chance to rejoin the rotation.
  • BAL Starting Pitcher #64
Orioles signed RHP Dean Kremer to a one-year, $5.75 million deal to avoid arbitration.
Kremer had a solid 2025 in the Orioles’ rotation, posting a 4.23 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and 140/44 K/BB ratio across 170 1/3 innings over 30 appearances (29 starts). He figures to continue to slot into the back-half of the rotation in 2026.
  • SEA Starting Pitcher #68
Mariners signed RHP George Kirby to a one-year, $6.55 million deal to avoid arbitration.
Kirby missed time with a shoulder injury in 2025 and pitched to a 4.21 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and 137/29 K/BB ratio in 126 innings. Kirby had pitched at least 190 innings in each of the two previous seasons with an ERA in the mid-3s. He has not really developed as a strikeout arm, but he is a good bet to produce good ratios on a winning team, which makes him a solid option in fantasy baseball leagues.
  • TOR 3rd Baseman #22
Blue Jays signed INF Ernie Clement to a one-year, $4.6 million deal to avoid arbitration.
The playoff superstar was tremendous for the Blue Jays in 2025, hitting .277/.313/.398 with nine home runs and six steals in 157 games while playing all over the field. With the team signing Kazuma Okamoto, Clement is the favorite to begin the year at second base in 2026.
