Josh Reddick has retired from professional baseball.

Reddick made the official announcement on Saturday evening following a stint in the Australian Baseball League. The 36-year-old outfielder last appeared in the majors during the 2021 season and wraps up a 13-year career in the big leagues that included stops with the Red Sox, Athletics, Dodgers, Astros and Diamondbacks since 2009. He finishes with a .262/.321/.425 batting line along with 1,157 hits, 146 homers and 61 stolen bases across 1,305 games.

Zach Logue

Zach Logue re-signed with the Doosan Bears of the Korea Baseball Organization.

It’s a one-year contract for Logue that will pay him $1.1 million. Jeff Passan of ESPN reports that Logue did explore a return to MLB, but the 29-year-old southpaw will remain overseas for at least one more season. He pitched well for the Bears in 2025 with a 2.81 ERA over 176 innings with a K/BB ratio of 156/39.

Altavilla spent 2025 with the White Sox, and the 33-year-old forged a 2.48 ERA and 1.17 WHIP in his 29 innings with Chicago. He’ll compete for one of the final bullpen spots this spring.

Giants designated OF Joey Wiemer for assignment.

Wiemer was acquired from the Marlins by the Giants in November, and there’s a good chance he won’t play a game for San Francisco. He hits the waiver wire with the signing of Jason Foley now official.

Multiple outlets report that the Nationals are hiring Anirudh Kilambi as the new general manager.

Kilambi will join the Nationals to work with new president of baseball operations Paul Tobon. He joins the club after serving as the assistant GM of the Phillies, and is widely respected for his work in research and development.

Athletics signed RHP Mark Leiter Jr. to a one-year contract.

Leiter will join the A’s bullpen after posting a 4.84 ERA in 48 1/3 innings. The 34-year-old should be a high-leverage option in 2026, and could even be inline for saves this summer. Fantasy managers will need some clarification in that situation before investing a draft pick.

Koperniak gets removed from the 40-man roster to make room for Dustin May. The 27-year-old will hit the waiver wire, and a team that believes he can provide some outfield help in 2026 could put in a claim.

Cardinals signed RHP Dustin May to a one-year, $12 million contract with a mutual option for 2027.

The mutual option is for $20 million, and contains a $500,000 buyout. May will get a chance to pitch in the middle of the St. Louis rotation after forging a 4.98 ERA and 123/56 K/BB in his 25 appearances and 132 1/3 innings with the Dodgers and Red Sox in 2025.

Royals signed OF Lane Thomas to a one-year, $5.25 million contract.

Thomas can make another million in incentives. The 30-year-old should be a regular for Kansas City in 2026, and his power/speed potential makes him a sneaky late-round draft pick this spring.
