Freddy Peralta was outstanding in a tough-luck no-decision on Friday night, limiting the Phillies to just one run on two hits over six stellar innings.
The 27-year-old right-hander punched out 10 batters on the night and didn’t issue a walk. He served up a leadoff home run to Kyle Schwarber to start the game, and that was it aside from a one-out single by Jake Cave in the third inning. Peralta got 17 whiffs on 94 pitches in the ballgame — seven on his changeup — while posting a strong CSW of 33 percent. He left the game in line for his sixth consecutive victory, but the Brewers’ bullpen was unable to oblige. Peralta now sits at 11-8 on the season to go with a 3.85 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 187/53 K/BB ratio over 145 frames. He’ll try to get back in the win column when he squares off against the Pirates in Pittsburgh on Wednesday.

Tyler Soderstrom went 3-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI to power the Athletics to an 11-6 win over the Mets on Saturday.
Soderstrom had a breakthrough game at the plate on Saturday, starting with a two-run blast off Kodai Senga in the third inning. He added a base hit in the fourth, then padded the A’s lead with a three-run blast off Luke Weaver in the eighth for his second homer of the game and first two of the season. It was only a matter of time for the 24-year-old slugger to get going.

James Schiano outlines just how impressive Mason Miller has been for the Padres.
  • NYM Shortstop #19
Bo Bichette went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two walks against the Athletics on Saturday.
Bichette had an excellent day at the plate, starting with a base hit in the first inning to put the Mets on the board with a run. He then drew a walk in the third before taking Jacob Lopez deep for a two-run blast in the fifth for his first home run as a Met. Bichette drew another walk in the seventh to reach for a fourth time. The 28-year-old third baseman is hitting .250/.300/.328 with nine RBI over his first 70 plate appearances.
  • NYM 2nd Baseman #11
Jorge Polanco went 1-for-5 with a solo homer against the Athletics on Saturday.
Polanco returned to the lineup after sitting out the previous two games. He was hitless over his first three plate appearances before leading off the seventh with a solo homer off Justin Sterner. It was Polanco’s first of the season with the Mets. The 32-year-old slugger has been working through an Achilles issue. Saturday’s blast was certainly an encouraging sign.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher #34
Kodai Senga allowed seven runs with three strikeouts over 2 1/3 innings in a loss against the Athletics on Saturday.
After a scoreless first inning, Senga issued a walk with the bases loaded in the second to bring in a run for the A’s. A groundout would plate a second before Senga got out of the inning. The A’s got to him again in the third. Tyler Soderstrom took him deep for a two-run blast before Carlos Cortes knocked Senga out of the game following a three-run homer. The 33-year-old left-hander ends the day with a bloated 7.07 ERA and 19 strikeouts over 14 innings across three starts. He’ll look to bounce back in a start against the Cubs in Chicago on Friday.
  • ATH Starting Pitcher #57
Jacob Lopez allowed five runs with five strikeouts over five innings in a win over the Mets on Saturday.
A pair of base hits put the Mets on the board with a run in the first inning. Lopez kept the Mets from scoring again until the fifth, when Bo Bichette took him deep for a two-run blast. Francisco Alvarez added a run on a solo homer in the sixth. Lopez walked the following batter and departed at 96 pitches without recording an out in the sixth. The 28-year-old left-hander struck out five. Lopez ends the day with a 6.75 ERA, 2.18 WHIP, and an 11/13 K/BB ratio across 13 1/3 innings. He’ll take on the Rangers in Sacramento on Thursday.
  • CIN Shortstop #44
Elly De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with one run scored and two steals in the Reds’ 7-3 win over the Angels on Saturday.
De La Cruz knocked a base hit in the first, stole second, then scored the first run of the game on a single. He added a pair of doubles in the fourth and sixth before walking and collecting his second steal in the eighth. The 24-year-old shortstop is filling all categories early, with four homers and five steals while slashing .271/.358/.525 across 67 plate appearances.
  • CIN 1st Baseman #7
Spencer Steer went 1-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored, and a walk against the Angels on Saturday.
Steer drew a walk in the first inning and scored the first run of the game on a base hit. He added another run for the Reds in the second with a solo homer off George Klassen, his second of the season. The 28-year-old needed that one as he came into Saturday’s contest with a .531 OPS over his first 51 plate appearances.
  • LAA Shortstop #9
Zach Neto went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a walk against the Reds on Saturday.
Neto led off the third inning with a base hit and scored the Angels’ first run on a groundout. He then drew a walk and scored again in the fourth before knocking a double in the sixth to reach for a third time. The 25-year-old shortstop is having a solid start to the season, hitting .262/.357/.557 with five homers, 14 runs scored, eight RBI, and one steal over 70 plate appearances.
  • CIN Starting Pitcher #55
Brandon Williamson allowed three runs with three strikeouts over four innings in a no-decision against the Angels on Saturday.
Williamson was working through traffic in this one as he struggled to find the zone. He stranded two runners in each of the first two innings before loading the bases in the third. A groundout would bring a run in before Williamson escaped the jam with just the one run allowed. Two more walks in the fourth put two on for Mike Trout, who doubled to score both runners. Williamson’s day would be done after four innings at 93 pitches, only 49 for strikes. The 28-year-old left-hander will take a 5.28 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, and a 10/9 K/BB ratio into a start against the Twins in Minnesota on Friday.
  • BOS 1st Baseman #36
Red Sox manager Alex Cora told reporters that the team is still awaiting the final imagine results on Triston Casas.
While the exact status is unclear, Cora did confirm that Casas is going to be “out a while” with the injury. The 26-year-old was working his way back from a serious knee injury when he picked up the rib/oblique issue in rehab. At this point, it’s just a guessing game when Casas will be back, and fantasy managers who are holding out hope for a return this summer should be looking elsewhere, if they haven’t already.
