Caminero’s meteoric rise to the big leagues culminated in a seven-game cameo with the Rays to close out the regular season as the youngest player in the big leagues. The 20-year-old top prospect, who has homered four times in his last seven Winter Ball contests, possesses stratospheric over-the-fence pop, and figures to open the 2024 campaign as a mainstay in Tampa Bay’s lineup. It might be a tad early for him to blossom into a full-fledged fantasy superstar, but we’re not ready to dismiss the possibility entirely either. He should be the first prospect off the board, likely as a mid-round pick, in fantasy drafts next spring.

Walker had taken a called third strike in the third inning, but got the call overturned on a challenge. He then clobbered the very next pitch from Cristian Javier for a 413-foot (111.3 mph EV) solo shot that tied the game at one run apiece. The 23-year-old outfielder had a rough spring overall at the dish, hitting .205 (9-for-44) with one home run and three RBI.

McGreevy scattered just three hits on the afternoon and didn’t allow a base on balls. The only blemish on his day came on a solo home run off the bat of Taylor Trammell in the second inning. McGreevy got eight whiffs on 62 pitches on the day, posting a CSW of 21 percent. He finishes the spring a perfect 4-0 with a 2.45 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and a 16/2 K/BB ratio across 18 1/3 innings. He looks ready for the regular season.

On the day that he was sent out to minor league camp, Trammell left the Astros with a parting gift, crushing a solo shot (106.8 mph EV) off of Michael McGreevy in the second inning that opened the scoring in the ballgame. The 28-year-old outfielder will open the season at Triple-A Sugar Land, but it shouldn’t be long before he gets another opportunity at the big league level.

The 28-year-old right-hander walked two batters on the afternoon while striking out two. The lone tally against him came on a solo home run off the bat of Jordan Walker in the third inning. Javier generated eight swings and misses on 69 pitches on the day, registering a CSW of just 16 percent. He finishes the spring with a stellar 1.69 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and a 10/6 K/BB ratio over 10 2/3 innings in his three Grapefruit League starts. His first assignment for the regular season will come next weekend against the Angels.

The 27-year-old right-hander will make his first start on Sunday against the Mets. Mlodzinski did a nice job during Grapefruit League play, registering a 2.92 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and a 14/2 K/BB ratio over 12 1/3 innings of work. It’s possible that he could carve out some fantasy value in deeper mixed leagues if he holds onto that rotation spot.

The 32-year-old southpaw was granted his release after he was informed that he wouldn’t make the Giants’ Opening Day roster. His path got much more difficult on Saturday as the Giants added Ryan Borucki to the mix. Lucchesi is now free to peddle his wares on the open market.

Vivas, 25, debuted with the Yankees in 2025, hitting .161 (9-for-56) with one homer and five RBI over 29 games. Vivas is out of minor league options, so it’s likely that the Nationals intend to carry him on the Opening Day roster.

The Nationals had picked up Linan from the Dodgers in last season’s deadline deal for Alex Call. The 21-year-old hurler posted a 3.03 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and a 106/33 K/BB ratio over 77 1/3 innings across three minor league levels in 2025.

Kim entered the spring as the favorite to start at second base while Tommy Edman was sidelined, so this one comes as a major surprise. Especially after he hit .407 (11-for-27) with a homer, six RBI and five stolen bases during Cactus League play. Santiago Espinal and Alex Freeland are expected to function in a platoon at the position now that Kim has been demoted.

Suwinski had an impressive Cactus League season with his new ballclub, hitting .375 (3-for-8) with three homers and five RBI in his limited action, but he was never going to crack a crowded Opening Day roster. He’ll open the season as a regular in the lineup at Triple-A Oklahoma City.
