Daniel Duarte underwent season-ending right elbow surgery on Tuesday.

Duarte is expected to be sidelined for 14-16 months after undergoing UCL revision reconstruction surgery. The 27-year-old righty has a shot at making it back during the later stages of the 2025 campaign.

Eury Pérez blanked the Brewers on Sunday over six innings, but he didn’t factor into the decision.

Pérez was on his way to getting the win, but Pete Fairbanks got in the way and allowed a three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth. It was still an excellent effort for the 23-year-old that saw him whiff nine batters and allow just one hit; two starts after he threw seven perfect innings against the A’s. This scoreless affair lowers Pérez’s ERA to 3.53, and there’s a very good chance that figure will be lowered when he squares off against the Padres next weekend.

Kyle Hurt will be the 27th player for the second game of a doubleheader against the Yankees on Sunday.

Hurt will provide some extra relief help for a bullpen game against the Yankees in the second of a twin billing. Hurt will then either head back to Triple-A, or the Dodgers can recall him and send down another arm if they choose that route.

Castro will provide some bullpen depth for the second game of the doubleheader against the Dodgers, and perhaps a bit longer. The 27-earold heads up with Jake Bird returning to the minors in exchange.

Kyle Manzardo went 0-for-3 against the Pirates on Sunday.

Manzardo was hitless again on Sunday, going 0-for-3. In three games since the All-Star break, he’s 0-for-9 with five strikeouts. He’s yet to hit a home run in 14 games in July. Manzardo’s average is down to .203 with a .649 OPS. He’s not worth rostering in most fantasy leagues at this point.
