Dallas Keuchel struggled with his command in a no-decision against the Brewers on Sunday, issuing five free passes over 4 1/3 innings of shutout baseball.
The 36-year-old southpaw also allowed three hits and didn’t strike out a batter in the contest. The five walks led to an elevated pitch count of 94 (42 strikes) through 4 1/3 innings, which cost Keuchel a shot at earning a victory in this one. He got just five swings and misses on the afternoon while registering a miserable CSW of only 21 percent. He’ll look to finish the first half strong as he carries a 4.61 ERA, 1.68 WHIP and a 9/8 K/BB ratio (13 2/3 innings) into Saturday’s matchup against the Nationals.
