Twins transferred LHP Kody Funderburk to the 60-day injured list.
Funderburk has been out since late July recovering from an oblique strain. He won’t be eligible to return until at least late September, if at all.

Padres placed LHP Yuki Matsui on the 15-day injured list with a left groin strain.
Matsui has already progressed to facing hitters and should be ready to return to San Diego’s relief corps at some point in April. The 30-year-old missed the World Baseball Classic due to the ailment after 125 relief appearances for the Padres over the past two seasons.
Brown, Cease sneaky picks to win AL Cy Young award
Jay Croucher and Trysta Krick predict who will win the American League Cy Young award, sharing why Astros pitcher Hunter Brown is a good bet and Blue Jays starter Dylan Cease has "killer stuff" and a "lot of upside."
  • SD Starting Pitcher #17
Padres placed RHP Griffin Canning on the 15-fay injured list.
Canning might be an option for San Diego’s pitching staff at some point in May or June as he continues to work his way back from last year’s Achilles tear. The 29-year-old is a worthwhile stash candidate in extremely deep mixed leagues and NL-only formats once he starts a minor league rehab assignment.
  • TB Relief Pitcher #71
Rays selected the contract of LHP Cam Booser and optioned him to Triple-A Durham.
Booser will remain with the Rays organiaztion despite missing out on a bullpen spot. The 33-year-old southpaw allowed one earned run and posted a 12/4 K/BB in innings this spring.
  • SD Relief Pitcher #78
Padres placed RHP Bryan Hoeing on the 15-day injured list.
The move is merely a formality since Hoeing will miss the entire season recovering from flexor tendon surgery. He’ll be shifted to the 60-day injured list at some point to free up a spot on San Diego’s 40-man roster.
  • SD Starting Pitcher #61
Padres placed RHP Matt Waldron on the 15-day injured list.
Waldron’s injury was one of the most circulated on social media as he underwent glute surgery to address an infection earlier this spring. He’ll most likely wind up at Triple-A El Paso once his rehab assignment concludes.
  • SD Starting Pitcher #11
Padres placed RHP Yu Darvish on the restricted list.
The procedural move adds significant financial flexibility for the Padres as it will eliminate Darvish’s $15 million salary for 2026. The 39-year-old veteran strikeout artist, who holds a career 3.65 ERA across 297 starts over a 13-year career in the big leagues, has yet to announce his retirement and is currently recovering from an elbow injury. The restricted list is used for players that are unavailable for a variety of reasons, which seems to indicate that Darvish isn’t rehabbing with the Padres, who would retain his contractual rights in the event that he returns. At this point, it seems unlikely that Darvish will be a relevant fantasy contributor in the future.
  • BOS Starting Pitcher #43
Red Sox placed LHP Patrick Sandoval on the 15-day injured list following left UCL surgery.
Sandoval’s return from internal brace surgery has been anything but smooth, but he’s back working in minor league games now. He could be a candidate to join Boston’s rotation in the first half of May.
  • BOS Starting Pitcher #50
Red Sox placed RHP Kutter Crawford on the 15-day injured list following right wrist surgery.
Crawford is being built up as a starter in minor league games, but it seems like the bullpen might be his long-term home after he rejoins the Red Sox. Of course, that’s assuming decent health for the current group. A league-averageish starter in 2023 and ’24, he might transition well into a setup role this summer.
  • BOS 1st Baseman #36
Red Sox placed 1B Triston Casas on the 10-day injured list following left patellar tendon surgery.
Casas has been hitting all spring and recently started running the bases. He’ll probably begin a rehab assignment at some point in April and then the Red Sox will have to decide in May whether to try to squeeze him on to the roster or option him to Triple-A.
  • BOS 2nd Baseman #48
Red Sox placed INF Anthony Seigler on the 10-day injured list with left knee patellar tendinopathy.
There’s been little said about Seigler’s injury, though it apparently dates back to winter ball when he was still a member of the Brewers organization. The 26-year-old never figured to make the Red Sox after being acquired in the Caleb Durbin-Kyle Harrison swap, but the on-base ability is there to potentially make him a useful spare part off the bench.
