Martinez registered an .832 OPS for Biloxi in 2024. He’ll provide organizational depth for Milwaukee in 2025 with an outside chance of making his MLB debut over the summer.

This was Rodríguez’s first appearance in affiliate ball since having Tommy John surgery in August of 2025. It wouldn’t be surprising if the Mets were willing to listen to offers for most of their players, but it would be surprising if they dealt Alvarez. The catcher is just 24 years old and is hitting .260/.332/.449 in 70 games this season with 12 home runs. Injuries have been a major problem for him in his career, but the Mets will likely hold onto him and deal away a veteran like Torrens. Bowden mentioned that the White Sox, who just lost Kyle Teel, have been linked to Torrens.

There is no word yet on what the injury might be. Curtis looked good in his first MLB appearance, throwing five scoreless innings in a bulk relief role on July 18th. There was a chance that he could push for MLB starts down the stretch, but we will need to see what the injury is before we know if that possibility is gone.

He will likely require at least three rehab starts to build up his pitch count before he makes his way back onto an MLB mound, so, assuming he progresses without any setbacks, he could be pitching for the Nationals in the final week of August or early September. Of course, whether or not the team is still in the playoff race by then may determine how they use Early, who is just 24 years old and is clearly an important part of Washington’s future.

Stott hit a solo homer in the second and put the game away with his bases-loaded double down the right field line in the sixth. It’s his second career five-RBI game, with the other coming against the Braves on July 25, 2022. He’d driven in a total of two runs in his previous 25 games.

The runs all came in the fifth, when the Yankees collected three hits despite not hitting a ball harder than 83 mph.
