Fraley is batting seventh against the Cardinals. Blake Dunn returns to the bench after going 1-for-3 in his place last night.

Eldridge was the primary target for the Red Sox in trade talks surrounding Rafael Devers, but the Giants refused to part with him. The 20-year-old is hitting just 8-for-46 since being called up to Triple-A, but he does have three home runs and 12 RBI in 12 games. He’s the first baseman of the future in San Francisco, which means Devers will likely remain the designated hitter.

The 26-year-old allowed four hits while striking out four and walking two. He now has a 3.48 ERA and 1.31 WHIP in 41 1/3 innings at Triple-A Nashville this season. He deserves another crack at starts in Milwaukee, but it might not happen unless the Brewers move on from Jose Quintana and/or Freddy Peralta at the trade deadline.

Vaughn was acquired by the Brewers for Aaron Civale over the weekend. He’s going to stay at Triple-A for a bit as the Brewers work to get him back to last year’s swing, but with Rhys Hoskins being a popular name in trade rumors, Vaughn could get a chance to start for Milwaukee after the deadline.

Gelof started the game at designated hitter and played six innings before being subbed out. His rehab process is going to be a long one, but it’s encouraging to see that he’s still running despite the numerous injuries he’s faced this season.

Most importantly, Chandler walked one after his struggles with command before. Still, throwing only 42 of 79 pitches for strikes is not ideal. He struck out three and is still too good to be staying at Triple-A. We’re not sure what the Pirates are asking him to work out in Triple-A, but he can likely do that in MLB games as well.

Hoffman had a 3.88 ERA and 77 strikeouts in 58 innings for Triple-A Norfolk in Baltimore’s organization last year. There was a chance for him to win a spot in Texas’ bullpen this year, but he instead headed to Triple-A Round Rock, where he has posted a 5.91 ERA. He should serve as organizational depth in Philadelphia

The White Sox sent Baldwin down to the minor leagues on Tuesday, and he did his best to show them that it was a mistake. He’s hitting .402 in Triple-A this season with nine home runs, 19 RBI, and a 1.303 OPS. He deserves to be on their big league roster.

Profar is somehow able to use the minor leagues to prepare for his MLB return despite being suspended for breaking MLB rules. He played the entire game in left field and should be a lock to be activated from the suspension list when he’s eligible on July 2nd.

Simpson is now hitting .317 with 14 steals in 29 games at Triple-A this season. That does come with an underwhelming .706 OPS and poor defense, which is why he remains in the minors. However, he is who he is at this point. If Tampa Bay decides to give him another shot, Simpson will remain a solid asset for batting average and steals.

Fitts was rushed back from his earlier rehab assignment after a pectoral injury because the Red Sox were without Walker Buehler and Tanner Houck at the time and weren’t comfortable with Hunter Dobbins pitching three times through a batting order. Unsurprisingly, rushing Fitts back didn’t go well, and he returned to Triple-A to essentially finish his rehab assignment. Fitts looks like he’s ready to rejoin the rotation, and with Walker Buehler having yet another poor start after returning from the IL, you have to wonder if Boston is willing to make a change.
