The only run allowed came on a safety squeeze from Jacob Wilson in the third, and he was able to work around eight hits thanks in large part to the aforementioned strikeouts. He ends April with a sparkling 2.11 ERA, and his 46/3 K/BB ratio is nothing to sneeze at either. Unfortunately, he got just a single run of support while he was in the game, so it’s a hard-luck no-decision against the A’s on Wednesday. He’ll face the Red Sox next week.

Goodman stole exactly one base in 2023, ’24, ’25 and in 46 games in ’26 coming into the game, so this is obviously his first career two-steal game. His singles tonight came on a grounder and a liner. He had a 101-mph fly that would have been a homer in 17 ballparks, according to Statcast, but it turned into an out at Chase Field.

Sugano left down 2-1 before the Rockies came back to win the game 3-2. He has a 3.86 ERA after 10 starts, which could give him a little trade value in spite of his paltry 13 percent strikeout rate. He’s due to make his next start at home Wednesday versus the Dodgers.

Senzatela came into a tie game in the eighth and recorded the win after the Rockies went ahead in the top of the ninth. With his 1.13 ERA, he’s a leading candidate for saves in the Colorado pen, but he’s also a leading candidate to be one of the first established major leaguers traded this season.

Soroka left with a one-run lead that got blown in the eighth, keeping him at 6-2 with a 3.27 ERA. He has another rather kind matchup coming up against the Giants in San Francisco on Wednesday.

O’Hoppe was run into at home after having to go up the line to retrieve a throw. The Angels can ill afford to lose him again with Travis d’Arnaud also on the IL, but if it happens, Omar Martinez will be recalled to serve as Sebastian Rivero’s backup.

Jorge Barrosa is more likely to start if Gurriel can’t go on Saturday.

Neto homered off Jacob deGrom to open the bottom of the first and later added a 427-footer off Chris Martin in the eighth. He’s on pace for 31 homers and 106 RBI now that he’s returned to the leadoff spot after a brief, ill-planned hiatus in Anaheim.

Even though he gave up four runs, Rodriguez surprisingly won the duel against Jacob deGrom. He struck out five despite recording first-pitch strikes on just 12 of 25 batters, and he gave up seven hits and nine hard-hit balls. The stuff is there for him to improve from here, but he has a 10.61 ERA after two starts and is clearly quite a ways away from being a mixed-league option. He’ll likely face the Tigers next.

DeGrom gave up a leadoff homer, two walks and another homer in a four-run first inning. He followed with an easy second, but after he allowed three singles and a walk in a two-run third, the Rangers made the rather surprising call to pull him after 65 pitches. There was nothing after the game to suggest anything physical was involved. DeGrom had decent velocity tonight, and he got 13 whiffs while allowing five hard-hit balls. He should still be fine to use against the Astros next week.

Meckler took Jacob deGrom deep in his first at-bat of 2026. It was his first major league homer, as he went without one in his only previous major league action in 64 plate appearances with the Giants in 2023. Meckler’s EV numbers just don’t bode well for him hitting for much power in the majors, but he has an excellent approach and some sneaky stolen base ability. It probably won’t make him a mixed-league option, but he might be of some use to the Angels in left field.
